MOVE OVER, EL NIÑO – GIANT PORK FLAVOR FRONT TO SWEEP THE NATION THIS FALL

Celebrity Chef and National Pork Board Chief “Porkcaster” Doreen Colondres Puts Lean and Flavorful Pork Recipes on the Radar.

With the calendar now flipped to September, celebrity chef, and chief “Porkcaster” Doreen Colondres is predicting a 100% delicious fall season marked by a pork flavor front phenomenon that will set a new standard for weather-related eating patterns.

“Whether it’s rainy, sunny or windy, the temperature is always right for pork,” said Colondres, the National Pork Board’s “Porkcaster” (Porknosticadora), Hispanic celebrity chef and cookbook author. “The fall brings a host of new celebrations – from outdoor festivals to tailgating parties – but with shorter days to enjoy it all. This is why I’m predicting mouthwatering, pork recipes that are not only easy to plan and make but also perfect for any fall weather occasion.”

The National Pork Board (NPB) is calling on all Hispanic consumers to check out the Porkcast (Porknóstico) – a wordplay on pork and forecast – at PorkTeInspira.com/Porknostico to plan ahead and get inspired to create delicious meals made with pork, all set to complement the changing season. Consumers will be able to search for recipes that fit their local, real-time weather forecast based on location. To infuse additional Latin flavor into the fall Porknóstico, the NPB has enlisted celebrity chef Doreen Colondres, who will serve as the chief Porknosticadora of the season, and has developed new recipes inspired for fall weather and seasonal events, such as Hispanic Heritage Month.

“The Porknóstico provides a fun and engaging way for pork fans to get inspired by their local weather – whether you’re in Los Angeles, Miami or Chicago,” said Jose de Jesus, director of multicultural marketing for the National Pork Board. “We want consumers to try new pork Latin dishes that will continue to surprise and delight their friends and family.”
